About Us

The bond and inspiration we share began long before we met, when we both struggled with the loss of our mothers in February of 1994. During those dark times, our pets became a source of strength and companionship that would soothe us for years to come.  Fast forward to 2010, when we met and realized our experiences could not possibly be unique, but a common story shared by many. Whether it be the loss of a loved one, a divorce, or illness, the warm nose and unconditional acceptance and love a pet offers is profound...so much so, that we knew we needed to keep pets and people connected  during  these financially difficult times when it's most important for a family to stay intact and begin to heal, rebuild and most of all, have hope.

​This is for our moms, Marlene and Marian, a little calico, Fingas, a handsome tuxedo cat named Slapshot and to those doing what they can, as best they can, who may need a hand of kindness extended to them.
